This Mango Jalapeno Ceviche is a bright and refreshing dish that would be great as an appetizer or snack. Fresh white fish, sweet mango, spicy jalapeo, and sour lime juice all work together to make a delicious burst of flavors in every bite. The recipe is simple, and it's full of tropical goodness.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb fresh white fish fillets, diced
- 1 cup lime juice
- 1 ripe mango, diced
- 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely chopped
- 1/2 red onion, finely diced
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- Salt to taste
- Tortilla chips for serving
Instructions:
In a large bowl, combine the diced fish with lime juice
Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes, allowing the fish to marinate and 'cook' in the citrus juice
After 30 minutes, drain excess lime juice from the fish
Add diced mango, chopped jalapeno, finely diced red onion, and chopped cilantro to the fish
Season with salt to taste and gently mix everything together
Refrigerate the ceviche for another 15-20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld
