Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup vegan butter, melted
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup vegan chocolate chips
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350F 175C
In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt
In another bowl, mix melted vegan butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, applesauce, and vanilla extract until well combined
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until a thick dough forms
Fold in the chocolate chips
Line a baking dish with parchment paper and spread the dough evenly into the dish
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is still slightly gooey
Remove from oven and let cool before slicing into squares
